Parent Teacher Organization

The purpose of our Parent Teacher Organization is to enrich the educational experience of our students by supporting our school, its staff and its programs.  

A PTO with a strong parental interest promotes the welfare of our children in school, at home and in the community.  It ensures a better school environment which provides advantages in physical, mental and social education for our children.

Welcome back to another wonderful school year at Taper Avenue Elementary!  I'm looking forward to meeting and getting to know our new parent volunteers. As a mother of two and with one of my children here at Taper Avenue Elementary, I know how important it is to feel like you have a voice. I look forward to hearing your feedback and working together with you and the wonderful teachers and staff here at Taper for the greater good of all our children. Every year our Parent Teacher Organization works tirelessly to keep parents connected, kids inspired, and teachers appreciated. They volunteer to run events and fundraisers that provide money that is used for equipment, assemblies, and necessities for our school. This year fundraising will likely be difficult.
